The Kerala Story outperforms in the box office with Rs 8.03 crore opening day earnings, amidst row

The Kerala Story debuts at a time when even the biggest films are underperforming. The Sudipto Sen-directed movie has not only had a strong start, but it has also performed better than the majority of Hindi films released in 2023. When it comes to the highest Day 1 box office receipts for a Hindi film in 2023, it is only surpassed by Bholaa, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Pathaan.

The movie’s promotion only began a few weeks ago, and despite the fact that it shocked many people, not many people seemed to be talking about it. It appeared to be one of those films that was released in theatres because OTT intended to take a wait-and-watch attitude before granting it a digital premium because it lacked the traditional enjoyment factor. The picture not only had a fantastic start, but it also generated such enthusiasm that it would continue to play for several weeks to follow.

When it comes to the movie’s first day takings, it reached a total of Rs 8.03 crore. Anything less than Rs 75 crore will undoubtedly be raised for the movie, and joining the 100 Crore Club won’t come as a surprise either.
