This year in 2022 rather than the winners, The Oscar Awards came into the headlines because of one big reason and that was Will Smith slapping comedian Chris Rock and that too in front of everyone on stage. Soon after the news started making rounds everyone gave opinions on this. The recent from to comment on this was Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who often hit the news for her straightforward statements.
Taking in favor of Will Smith the ‘Panga’ actress took to her Instagram stories and wrote “If some idiot used my mom or sister’s illness to make a bunch of fools laugh I would slap him like @willsmith did … bada** move…hope he comes to my #lockup”.She captioned the post along with the image in which Will was slapping Chris Rock. Not only Kangana but also Gauahar Khan also criticized this. She took to her Twitter account and wrote, “Oscar Jeet Gaye, par izzat haar Gaye Sad about #willsmith attacking a fellow artist, !!! Comedians at risk, #NewAge #Notolerance . Dialogue is everything, on-screen and off. #Oscars.” After this actor, RanveerShorey also commented saying ‘Glad I missed the #Oscars this year. And with that, there is no film award show left in the world that I am not disillusioned with. #sad’
What exactly happened?
For those unaware, of the incident, let us tell you that it all took place when Chris Rock made a joke about his wife Jada’s shaved head. saying “Jada, can’t wait for ‘GI Jane 2’”, Actually Jada was diagnosed with alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder. After which she decided to shave her hair. But the joke was not gone down well with Will Smith and he slapped him.
Coming to Kangana the actress is busy with her show ‘Lock Upp’ where celebs have to complete the task to achieve basic amenities.
