SUGA of BTS) by PSY

PSY’s music video for the 2022 title tune, That That, which features him as an artist and was created by BTS rapper Sugama, received over 500 million views on YouTube on January 6, about 7:45 AM KST, 4:15 AM IST. The film, which was first posted on April 29, 2022, at 6 PM KST, took little over 616 days and 13 hours to achieve the 500 million mark.

Other K-pop soloists in this select group include Jennie and Lisa of BLACKPINK, who, with their solo debut tracks SOLO and LALISA, have also achieved this accomplishment, in addition to PSY and SUGA.

This song was recorded in collaboration by BTS rapper SUGA and South Korean singer PSY. It appears on PSY 9th, the group’s eighth studio album. On April 29, 2022, the song—which was co-written and produced by PSY and SUGA—was made available for digital download and streaming. It was remarkably popular, receiving over 30 million views in the first day of release and 100 million views in just one week.

The song reached the top of the iTunes Top Songs charts in several countries, including Egypt, Malaysia, India, Australia, Canada, Japan, and the United States. Beyond the success of the single, the Gangnam Style singer’s full album peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums lists in a number of nations, including Taiwan, Singapore, and Indonesia.

The music video for “That That” (Prod. & Feat. SUGA of BTS) became the first K-pop video of 2022 to exceed 200 million views on YouTube on June 2. With 29,600 units sold and 67.7 million streams in its first week, That That debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart, continuing to build on its popularity. The song debuted at No. 2 on the Global Excl. US chart, with 18,800 units sold and 61.5 million streams outside of the US.

In the music video for That That, PSY celebrated the end of the COVID-19 pandemic while dressed in cowboy boots and set against a wild west landscape. The artists welcomed the post-pandemic milieu while expressing wonder and excitement.
