Top Gun Maverick starring Tom Cruise is all set to launch in India on the OTT platform. The film will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from December 26. Displayed under the banner Paramount Pictures this film is the sequel of Top Gun released in 1986 classic hit Top Gun. The film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages on the streaming platform.
On Friday, the streaming platform tweeted “All set to take-off on a new adventure and a nostalgia ride like never before. #TopGunMaverickOnPrime, Dec 26″.
The action thriller is framed after 30 years as per the encompassed events of the first film by Tony Scott which also features Top Gun graduates training a group for a mission. The ensemble includes Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis with Ed Harris and Val Kilmer.
Helmed by Joseph Kosinski, Top Gun: Maverick is estimated to be the highest-grossing film of 2022, with a worldwide earnings of USD 1.488 billion. It has been nominated for Golden Globe Award for best motion picture – drama and the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for best picture.
