Espionage has changed over the years and is a current hot topic. There is no escape this compelling subgenre when it is done well. Here is a closer look at what is now accessible on the major streaming service, organised by date of release.
Clear and Present Danger (1994)
Tom Clancy continues to be revered in successful films and television shows. Harrison Ford, who is now in his 80s, is still quite active in Hollywood because to the Indiana Jones franchise, which is still going strong. Salt (2010)

Hanna (2011)
The series is available on Prime Video, but for now the O.G. Hanna may be watched on Netflix. Saoirse Ronan, an Oscar contender, plays a kid who is reared by her father, an ex-CIA agent named Eric Bana, in the suburbs of Finland while being trained as an assassin. A senior CIA agent who attempts to find and kill them is played by Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett in this ensemble piece.
Skyfall (2012)
No Time to Die, the most recent Bond movie, has some amusing moments, but Daniel Craig has performed better in earlier Bond movies. The top spot belongs to Casino Royale, with Skyfall, one of the two films helmed by the famous Sam Mendes, coming in second. In the supporting parts here, Javier Bardem and Judi Dench steal the show, and Naomi Harris is always a treat as Moneypenny.
The Imitation Game (2014)
2014 saw Benedict Cumberbatch’s breakout performance. His ground-breaking Oscar-winning film The Imitation Game, which tells the extraordinary true story of Alan Turing and his group of WWII codebreakers in Britain, kept audiences riveted from beginning to end.
Operation Finale (2018)
When he and his brother revived American Pie to life in the 1990s, director Chris Weitz established himself as a well-known figure. More recently, he tackled the spy thriller which is based on the real-life arrest of a notorious SS official (Ben Kingsley), who built the foundation for the Nazi genocidal operations in Argentina, also known as the “Final Solution.” This riveting historical thriller also stars Nick Kroll and Oscar Isaac.
A Call to Spy (2020)
The role of Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour earned Gary Oldman an Oscar. However, in A Call to Spy, Churchill faces a new challenge when he instructs his spy agency to prepare women for covert operations in an effort to overthrow the Nazi power in France.
Munich: The Edge of War (2021)
George McKay is terrific in the lead role, and it’s interesting to know that two years prior, the Captain terrific actor had been in a different World War II movie alongside the groundbreaking Oscar winner 1917.
The Gray Man (2022)
Evans portrays a former CIA operative in The Grey Man who is ruthlessly pursuing Six, a highly accomplished assassin, when a high-profile assignment goes wrong. I think The Grey Man 2 will be an improvement over The Grey Man because the Russo brothers will have learned from their “mistakes” with the first movie.
Operation Mincemeat (2021)
The two portray charming intelligence agents who develop an unconventional scheme to prevent Hitler’s plans to basically conquer all of Europe in a WWII movie. We won’t reveal too much, but Operation Mincemeat’s conclusion is hilarious to witness.
