Uorfi Javed made an apology on Friday, saying she was sorry for offending everyone’s feelings with her provocative attire. People will now notice a different Uorfi, she continued. A day before April Fool’s Day, some fans questioned what had occurred, while others questioned the timing of the tweet.
The actor took to Twitter and wrote, “I apologise for hurting everyone’s sentiments by wearing what I wear . From now on you guys will see a changed Uorfi . Changed clothes . Maafi (Sorry).”
Fans reacted to her post and someone tweeted, “You wear whatever you like uorfi stay Liberated.” While another wrote, “omg, no no, i Appreciate ur confidence level .” Some assumed it to be a prank. One fan shared, “april 1 kal hai.” A comment read, “April fool banaya aisa gaana gaane waale kya aap (Are you going sing April Fool’s?).
Recently, Kareena Kapoor lauded Uorfi’s confidence while speaking with Times Now Digital, “Fashion is all about expression and freedom of speech. I think that the confidence with which she pulls it off, I think she looks really cool and amazing. The fact that she does exactly as she wants, that’s what fashion is all about – when you are comfortable in your own skin and do exactly as you, please. I just love the confidence. I am a confident girl so I am all for confidence. I just love her confidence and the way she walks. Hats off.” She further added, “I am not as gutsy as Urfi but I feel it’s extremely brave and extremely gutsy.”
In response to Kareena’s remark, Uorfi tweeted and shared a story about Kareena’s compliments. Whattttttttt, Kareena just said she likes me??? she added. I’m ded! Bye. I’m speechless; is this really happening?”
On Sunday, Uorfi was presented with the Fashionista of the Year honour at the OTTPlay ChangeMakers Awards 2023. She last appeared on the reality television programme MTV Splitsvilla. (Season 14).
