Veteran television and film actor Arun Bali passed away this morning at the age of 79. Known and acknowledged for his work as Kunwar Singh on Doordarshan’s soap opera Swabhimaan, Bali took his last breath at his residence located in suburban Mumbai. His son, Ankush said that his father was suffering with Myasthenia Gravis, a severe autoimmune condition which is caused due to connectivity flaw between the muscles and nerves.
As stated by his son, Bali was also been hospitalized earlier this year pertaining to his degrading health status. Ankush further added that his father fairly responded and sustained to the immediate treatment but unfortunately passed away this morning at 4.30 a.m.
Ankush told PTI that, “My father left us. He was suffering from Myasthenia gravis. He had mood swings for two-three days. He told the caretaker he wanted to go to the washroom and after coming out he told him he wanted to sit down and he never got up then.”
Bali, the National Award-winning producer made his debut as an actor in Lekh Tandon’s Doosra Keval, playing Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s uncle. He head on to work for eminent TV shows like period Chanakya, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Swabhimaan, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, and P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke.
Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Saugandh, Khalnayak, Hey Ram, Satya, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, Barfi, Ready, Manmarziyaan, Laal Singh Chaddha, Kedarnath and Samrat Prithviraj were some of this illustrious works in the film industry. For the last time he will be seen in the recently launched movie, Goodbye, featuring legendary star Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna.
