Vijay Deverakonda promises a strong entertainer with ‘Liger’, wherein he portrays an MMA fighter. The actor will make a big Bollywood debut in an action-packed avatar while romancing Ananya Panday. The film is scheduled for release next week and the audience is yet to give their verdict on, however the actor has already affirmed the 2nd installment. During a recent interaction, Vijay Deverakonda affirmed that the makers are planning a sequel to ‘Liger’.
Talking about his character, Vijay said that he portrays a part that has many layers. “My character in the film has a stammering problem and that made it more interesting. On one hand, he is the guy who is physically so strong and intimidating to others, he is a fighter, but he can’t even utter the simple three words ‘I love you’ to the girl he loves. It added both subtle humour and an emotional layer to his character. Initially, when we started shooting, I was struggling to get the right note, but after three days, everything was easy,” shared Vijay. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and features a special cameo by former American boxing legend Mike Tyson.
Post ‘Liger’, Puri and Vijay will collaborate for ‘Jana Gana Mana’. This Telugu-language military action film stars Pooja Hegde as the leading lady.
