It is actually a link that claims to change WhatsApp theme to pink. But the issue is that soon after you click the link your phone can be hacked. And those who fall prey to this can lose access to their WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp in pink colur has new features. And it claims to be an official update. However, this can malicious. So according to experts, if you find the link beware of it. Cybersecurity expert Rajshekhar Rajaharia talking to his social media platform also shared the information that reads:“Beware of WhatsApp Pink!! A Virus is being spread in WhatsApp groups with an APK download link. Don’t click any link with the name of #WhatsappPink. Complete access to your phone will be lost,” cybersecurity expert Rajshekhar Rajaharia posted on social media platforms. Not just him but Cyber intelligence firm Voyager Infosec director Jiten Jain also advised the people not to install any APK , except for those available on official app store. This can be either Google or Apple.

The answer is that through these links your personal data can be hacked which includes photos, sms, contacts, and moreover it can also hack everything a user types. Other harm is that it can steal your banking password which is a serious issue. The most noticeable part is that it is difficult to differentiate. Because WhatsApp Pink looks identical to the main application.
