Australia failed to perform against the “underdogs” Sri Lanka, who clinch a memorable win after 30 long years as they dominate the series by leading it before the 5th ODI even started.

The 5th ODI was anyway a consolation win for the visiting yellows but the Australians are merrier to witness the absolute roaring of crowds in Sri Lanka.

Glenn Maxwell stated the local’s love for the Australian team as the ocean side Sri Lanka turned yellow on the 5th ODI, believing that it was a consolation game for both teams, considering that Sri Lanka had already won the series by leading 3 games to 1.

Maxwell stated that generally the Australians are naturally claimed enemies to any foreign country they tour for cricket but the support of the Sri Lankans fans, especially the courtesy of wearing Australian jerseys and waving the country flags was overwhelming for the Australians at that moment.

    "We're generally the enemy" 😅
