What to do if I missed the second dose of covid. Well here some frequent answers that can be helpful for you. So scroll down to know

What to do if you missed out the second dose of covid-19

Soon after the second wave of the pandemic prevailed in India. People got a bit more conscious. There are a number of people who are ready to get vaccinated. These also include those who have either recovered from Covid-19 or have tested positive. Now the question is that when the person who has just recovered from Covid-19 should get vaccinated. And what to do if someone misses the dose. If you want the answer to this question Scroll down to know about the number of things related to vaccines.

So When should you get vaccinated after testing positive?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the person should wait for 6 months and let the antibodies work till that time. In India also doctors claim after recovery from covid there should be a gap of 1 to 3 months. The reason for this is ,allowing the body to build up the maximal natural immunity before going for the second shot. But on the other hand Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that the vacation can be taken immidiately. However the point of view of WHO makes sense.

How will the body response if you take the vaccine when you’re positive?

Soon after we get infected the first thing that our body does. Is to make IgM antibodies. And then in a week’s time, its production peaks at three weeks, declining later. These antibodies are made in response to the first infection or vaccination. And then there is little neutralization. But the large rise in antibodies comes after the second dose.

What if you catch Covid in between two vaccine doses?

If you catch Covid between the two vaccine doses, then the symptoms could be mild and moderate. But it largely depends upon the exposure. If if it exists one to three weeks of receiving the first dose. That means the vaccine has not modified the course of action. But in this case, it is likely to only get a mild disease. But when this happens do not panic and follow the above protocol. That means you should wait for a week before you go for the second shot.

Will you need to repeat the first dose? If you delayed the second one

According to studies, there are differences in timings for the second vaccine. For Covishield, it is 12 weeks, And for Covaxin a gap of four weeks is recommended. Since no other interval has been tested. So you need not worry if you miss the second dose. As it just postpones the boosting of antibodies. And you do not need to require the first dose. However, you need to get the first vaccination if there is a gap of a couple of years. So overall if it’s a matter of weeks or months then stay calm.

Can vaccine be taken in case of allergies

The answer is that those who had a severe allergic reaction to the vaccine should not take it. However, there is no such evidence that associates with the vaccine. As the vaccine created is safe from all kinds of allergies.

Is vaccine safe for pregnant and lactating women

The answer is yes. According to the data, even pregnant and lactating women can take it. Because after taking the vaccine no adverse effect has been rolled out so far. In fact, the antibodies pass on to the fetus through the placenta. After which their own immune system’s efficiency improves rapidly.
