After the Tauktae Cyclone and Yaas Cyclone in the last total months, now the threat of Cyclone Jawad is looming. Regarding this, the IMD i.e. Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert across the country. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that Jawad may develop into a cyclone in the central Bay of Bengal on December 3.
This storm has come after the end of the southwest monsoon. According to the Meteorological Department, this storm will hit the coasts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on December 4. In such a situation, all the departments related to the rescue operation are on alert regarding the Jawad cyclone. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also taken an important meeting regarding this.
How did the name Jawad it get and how dangerous is it?
According to the process of naming storms, this storm has been named Jawad on the suggestion of Saudi Arabia. Jawad is an Arabic word, which means liberal. In such a situation, it is being said that this storm is not going to be very dangerous. The impact of this cyclone is not going to affect the common life as much as compared to the cyclones that came in the past. However, there is a possibility that when the Jawad cyclone hits the surface, the wind speed during that time can be more than 100 kilometers per hour. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains.
What is the preparation to deal with?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken an important meeting of the concerned departments regarding this storm. In a statement issued by the Meteorological Department, it has been said that this cyclonic storm is expected to affect Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh and coastal districts of Odisha. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coastal areas and parts of West Bengal. In view of all the doubts and possibilities, NDRF i.e. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed 32 teams in these states and additional teams are being kept ready.

The naming of cyclones i.e. storms was started in the Atlantic region with a treaty in 1953, while in the Indian Ocean region this system started in the year 2004. On the initiative of India, 8 countries of this region started naming storms. These included India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar, Oman, and Thailand. Then in the year 2018, countries like UAE, Iran, Qatar and Yemen also joined it.

As according to Alphabet, first Bangladesh (Bangladesh), then India (India) and then Iran (Iran) and other countries are named, in the same order the names of stormy cyclones are named after the suggested name.
