Which Avenger Killed The Most Enemies In The Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Marvel villains are well known for never reckoning with losses – destroying a city, a country, or a planet is not at all a weighty ethical problem for them. Why, to halve all life in the universe is a matter of one snap of your fingers. But the superheroes of the universe of Iron Man and Captain America have not gone too far – they easily deal with enemies, and the number of victims of their superpowers or perfect weapons goes to tens and hundreds. Let’s try to calculate which of the classic Avengers is currently the most “bloodthirsty”.

The ranks of the Avengers are constantly replenishing, and by the climactic scene of “Endgame” it was already possible to include all the characters, at least somehow mentioned in the film franchise for over 10 years, among the members of the superhero team. However, the soul and basis of the initiative started by Nick Fury remain six characters whom we met on the eve of the very first common film – these are Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye. It was these heroes who took part in the largest number of battles to date, their hands defeated the aliens of the Chitauri, the robots of Ultron and many other opponents. And although the characters often oppose enemies together, they also have personal “achievements”.

Let’s take a look at what we know about the lethal abilities of the Six Avengers-Forefathers. With a small caveat, Natasha Romanoff should be considered the least murderous so far – she regularly engages in hand-to-hand combat, but her task, it seems, does not include eliminating enemies, more often she manages to temporarily disable them. The reservation I mentioned is due to the imminent release of the Black Widow solo album. It is possible that there we will be shown a slightly different, sowing death Natasha – then I will be ready to move her higher in this list.

In the meantime, Romanoff closes the list, and a little higher is Clint Barton, an old friend and ally of the Widow. With approximately the same number of battles of these two characters known today, I put Hawkeye higher for the reason that, firstly, his weapons are significantly more lethal than Natasha’s fists and legs, and secondly, during the timelessness caused by Thanos’s click , Barton went over to the “dark side of the Force” and traded in contract killings. It is unlikely that the number of his victims was in the hundreds, but he chopped a couple of dozen yakuza into minced meat for sure.

The Hulk should be placed on the third line from the end. In general, Bruce Banner is one of the most humane Avengers, he fought for a long time with the consequences of his experiments with super-serum and gamma rays, but the green giant still prevailed from time to time. The consequences of the Hulk’s anger were usually catastrophic – I suppose that hardly anyone survived after a fight with him (well, perhaps Loki) – and given the many years of staying an evil green giant on Sakaar, where he was the star of gladiatorial battles, I suppose that many brave warriors were killed in battles with him.

The top three should be closed by Steve Rogers. Even without taking into account the final battle with the army of Thanos, two large bloody wars fell to his lot. First, Captain America fully fought the Nazis on the fronts of World War II, destroying the enemy with entire bases. Secondly, Steve became the most selfless fighter against Hydra, showing no mercy to the reincarnated descendants of the Nazis. If there were a tool that could be used to mark Cap’s shield for every enemy killed, the number of stars would ripple in his eyes.

Like Batman from the neighboring comic universe, Tony Stark has a very simple superpower – money. No, of course, he got superintelligence from his father, and the constant struggle for life added to him an enviable physical shape, but ahead, of course, there are technologies available only to a multi-billionaire. With their help, Iron Man has become a highly prolific assassin – starting with killing the Taliban in his debut solo film and ending with missile strikes against Thanos’ army in Endgame, Stark has earned a high place on the list of “good assassins.” And his famous rescue click sets a serious gap from his pursuers – he alone incinerated hundreds of titan warriors. True, he himself died …

The leader is not difficult to calculate. Thor is the oldest of the Avengers and arguably the most powerful, and his extra years give him a solid head start. In “War of Infinity” the God of Thunder declares: “I am 15 hundred years old, and I killed twice as many enemies!”, Which gives us reason to believe that the number of Thor’s victims exceeds 3000. There is no reason not to believe Chris Hemsworth’s hero, he really is constantly on the spearhead of the most ambitious battles (well, when he doesn’t drink beer in his Icelandic hut) – Thor opposed the armies of giants, dark elves, ice warriors, and always came out of battles, if not a winner, then a crusher. A three-thousand-point casualty list makes Asgardian the leader of the bad guys among the Avengers.

Despite their reputation as the good guys, the Marvel Avengers have killed thousands of characters in the MCU, from alien beings to completely terrestrial Hydra agents. Thor accounts for the lion’s share of the kills, making him the deadliest Avenger, followed by Iron Man, with the rest well behind. However, those killed by the Avengers are only a modest fraction of the lives taken by the villains. Therefore, the heroes should not be judged too harshly, they walk on a fine line. For, as Captain America Steve Rogers said: “The price of freedom is high. It has always been that way. But this is the price I am willing to pay . ”
