Erstwhile Covid-19 response coordinator and a business tycoon, Jeff Zients, 56, will be newly chosen chief who will succeed Ron Klain, who was in charge for two years. Biden was quoted as appreciating Klain for his dedicated work, further averred that he is “confident that Jeff will continue Ron’s example of smart, steady leadership, as we continue to work hard every day for the people we were sent here to serve”.

He was also active as a managing partner at Portfolio Logic, an investment company. He was then appointed as the chair of the board of directors of Children’s National Medical Center and a board member at Facebook.
3) Zients’ tireless efforts was instrumental in the vaccination drive in 2021, wherein more than 65% of the eligible population was being fully vaccinated by the end of December 2021.
4) Zients, while working under the Biden administration worked for two years on the implementation of programs and legislations like Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, according to a Reuters report.
