India has won the much-hyped match between India and Pakistan in the world cup 2019. Team India played really well. One of the greatest players of the team is its former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He has won hearts not only on the field but off the field too. Captain Cool has a number of fans all around the world. And among them is a Pakistani man who is familiar to the people who watch cricket regularly.

You won’t believe that from playing a match-winning knock in the final of the World Cup 2011, Dhoni was also in the news for providing match tickets for a Pakistan-born cricket fan, Mohammad Bashir aka ‘Chacha Chicago’. Since then they are sharing a strong bond. Ahead of the world cup match between India and Pakistan, Bashir came all the way to Manchester from Chicago to watch India-Pakistan match.

The 63 years old told the media that after reaching in Manchester he saw that people were ready to pay as much as they can to watch India-Pak match. The ticket was as expensive as 800-900 pounds equivalent to a return ticket from Chicago. But Dhoni came as a saviour to him. He helped him to get a ticket.

Mohammad Bashir owns a restaurant in Chicago and is an American passport holder. He loves his motherland Pakistan but holds a special place in his heart for team India and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He said, “I don’t call him as he is so busy. I keep in touch only through text messages. Long before I came here, Dhoni assured me of the ticket. He is a great human being. I can’t think of anyone else doing what he has done for me since that 2011 game in Mohali.”
