The film has caught everyone’s attention. Recently Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi also watched a special screening of the movie in Delhi. It is absolutely impressive as it is clear that The Sabarmati Report is the first film he has seen since he became the Prime Minister.
Veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor who was also present on this occasion said “I told the Honorable Prime Minister that in my 50 years in the film industry, this is the first time I’ve sat with him to watch a movie. He even mentioned that this was the first film he has watched since becoming the Prime Minister. That’s a big deal.”
Also actor Vikrant Massey, who stars in the film, expressed his feelings after the screening: I am unable to express in words, I was scared but also glad to have an opportunity to be seated among such great people and to see the film. Actress Raashii Khanna also shared her excitement saying that When I agreed to do this film, I never expected that our Prime Minister would back it to such an extent Initially, he tweeted for us and now he has come out of his busy agenda of doing things to watch the film. He even said to us that this is the first movie he watches after he became the Prime Minister.
Kangana Ranaut, who attended the screening, also praised the film: “This is a very important movie. It talks about our country’s history, and it reveals facts that the previous government tried to hide from the public. The film exposes the politics of those times and sheds light on the truth.” The narrative of the film has been appreciated by the heads of the nation- PM Modi and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah have also appreciated the truthful portrayal of history.The Sabarmati Report has been declared tax-free in many states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Odisha.
It is an effort by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Vikir Films,The film features Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in lead roles. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, Anshul Mohan and directed by Dheeraj Sarna, its worldwide distribution is by Zee Studios. The film is currently showing in theaters and it calls on everybody to uncover a hidden chapter in the nation’s history.
