Teams like the New Orleans Pelicans and the Phoenix Suns are not willing to give up that much to make a trade like that. It would ruin what they have built. All parties involved are better off just sticking and not even bothering with trying to trade for Kevin Durant. He has four years remaining on his contract, and Durant has said that if he doesn’t play with Brooklyn, he would like to play with the Miami Heat or the Phoenix Suns.
However, is there a chance that the Golden State Warriors would take him back? Steph Curry thinks they’re good, but Golden State can offer players like Jonathan Poole, Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman, and other draft picks, but Golden State would be getting rid of their entire future, which is something general manager Bob Myers does not want to do.
