The world is changing but no one has ever imagined that what we read in books years ago will actually going to be true this early! The age of robots has seemed to begin! China introduced the world’s first female robot anchor who presented news for China’s Xinhua state news agency recently.
The agency used a lifelike robotic news anchor that mimics human facial expressions and mannerisms. It presented a story about delegates attending an annual parliament meeting arriving in Beijing. Watch the video below:
This is an artificial intelligence robot whose name is “Xin Xiaomeng”. It was spotted in a short haircut and pink dress and earrings in a one-minute video presentation by Xinhua. Xin Xiaomeng is modelled after real-life Xinhua news anchor Qu Meng and was developed by Xinhua and tech firm Sogou Inc.
Earlier in November, Xinhua displayed two AI news anchors dressed in men’s clothes at the World Internet Conference in the eastern Chinese town of Wuzhen. Xinhua is now grabbing the attention of the whole world for being the first robotic female news anchor.
