Fans of director Zack Snyder still hope that he will be able to further expand his DC movie universe. While Warner Bros. has indicated that they will not do so, the fans will not give up. This week they campaigned at the studio’s headquarters and pulled out all the stops for that.
Yesterday a plane flew around the Warner Bros. headquarters. with #RestoreTheSnyderVerse on it and also the fanatical fans had hired a van that showed the same message.
At this point, however, the studio has no plans to continue Snyder’s film universe. However, the earlier #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign has clearly shown that Hollywood is sensitive to outside pressure.
Commercially interesting?
The question is also to what extent Snyder’s current vision is commercially suitable for the cinema. After all, Snyder’s earlier DC films didn’t perform too well at the cinema ticket offices.
Still, it is nice to see that he has managed to amass a loyal group of fans, who are very passionate about the films. Perhaps their dream will eventually become reality.
