Zaira Wasim has been a controversial one since the day she stepped in Bollywood. She made her with Aamir Khan-starrer superhit Bollywood movie Dangal. Recently the actress sparked a controversy when she announced her sudden and shocking retirement from the films. It ignited a debate on social media.
18 years old Zaira Wasim took to Facebook to tell the reasons for her decision to quit her promising career in Bollywood. While many considered it as a loss of Bollywood, director of Dangal Nitesh Tiwari feels it is his personal loss as she debuted with his film. Talking about the actress and her decision of quitting the industry, Nitesh said, “Zaira has become incommunicado.”
In an interview to a leading daily, he said, Zaira has grown up now and he doesn’t know what actually is she facing personally in her life. Nobody has the right to question her decision. Nitesh said, “It’s miserable in light of the fact that she is an awesome on-screen character as Dangal and Secret Superstar demonstrated. Also, if for whatever reasons, she chose to step away, it’s the business’ misfortune. For me, it’s an individual misfortune since she appeared in my film, so there was a feeling of pride. My all the best to her, I trust she finds what she looks for. In the end, all of us have to be mature enough to realise that everybody has the right to choose his or her life, the way he or she wants to live. And just the way you would not want anybody to question you for your life choices, you should not question her for her life choices. It’s her life and she has every right over it.”
On the professional front, Zaira Wasim will be seen on silver screen with her upcoming film ‘The Sky Is Pink’ which also stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Rohit Suresh Saraf in the lead roles.
