A new tool dubbed “Notes” has been introduced by virtual meeting platform Zoom that lets users create, share, and collectively edit text documents while participating in video conversations. Users may easily create and share material in “Notes” within Zoom Meetings, enabling in-the-moment collaboration during video sessions. This makes it unnecessary to transition between Zoom and external document or note-taking applications, boosting meeting productivity and concentration.
Head of Productivity Applications at Zoom, Darin Brown, said, “We wanted to offer a clean user experience that allows users to create agendas and notes while staying within the Zoom platform instead of jumping to other content management tools. With Notes, it’s seamless to create and share personal and collaborative notes in and out of meetings.”
The “Notes” programme has the ability to make agendas and distribute them to meeting participants beforehand. Users can open notes during meetings and ask others to participate in real-time collaboration. Zoom users can distribute meeting notes to others who might find the information useful once the meeting is over.
Users may easily retrieve previously taken notes by using the in-meeting navigation bar or by starting fresh notes while a meeting is still in progress.
The platform has given “Notes” access to a variety of formatting capabilities, including several options for font styles, bullet points, colours, and more. In order to preserve work, users may add photographs and links to their notes, and the system automatically stores material at regular intervals.
All Zoom customers will be able to access the addition of “Notes” at no additional cost when it launches in the next few weeks. With the addition of this functionality, Zoom’s toolkit becomes even more flexible for users participating in online meetings and teamwork.
