Bengali actress Nusrat Jahan receives death threats over her latest post, where she posed as Goddess Durga.
Nushrat Jahan recently posted the image of herself dressed as Goddess Durga, on the occasion of Mahalaya. Followed by some videos later on. But the Bengali actress turned MP again faced a backlash as usual. Since she was born in a Muslim family but married to a Hindu. She always becomes the topic of discussion between Hindu and Muslim communities. And this time yet again she faced hatred from the Muslim community, in fact, topping it all, one user also gave her a death threat.
This photo and video shoot of Nusrat had also been shared by the TMC MP where she was photographed dressed as Durga. And hours after posting the picture on Instagram, she was abused by Islamists from both India and Bangladesh. They also questioned her integrity for not following Islam and along with issuing death threats. Some of them also called her evil.
It seems that her attire after she posed as Durga did not go down well with the users of the Muslim community. As she faced lots of negative responses after that. One user by the name of Mohammed Nurtaj. Lashed out at Nusrat saying “You are a black mark on the name of Muslims. As Muslims, we don’t want to see such posts” An Instagram user Moshiur.audit asked in his broken English, “Are you know what are you doing you are a Muslim” Another user, Sakib, expressed surprise and asked, How can you do this being a Muslim?
While ago she posted a video on which the Islamists did not leave any stone unturned to spew venom against the actress and Hinduism. Well this is not the first time she is facing all this. Last year, photographs of Nusrat Jahan attending Durga Puja with her husband Nikhil Jain had gone viral, and she was also targeted by Islamists due to her marriage with a Jain man.
